Yours Sincerely, The Executive Committee, Greeks in the City Association ******* Speakers's Bios: Yannis Manuelides Yannis Manuelides recently stepped down as a partner from Allen & Overy after 22 years, 25 with the firm and a career which started in January 1988. Having practiced since January 1988 (of which six in France) heads A&O’s sovereign debt practice. A graduate of Princeton University (AB Philosophy, 1980), University of Chicago (MA Philosophy, 1983) and Cambridge University (BA Law 1985), he is an English law qualified lawyer and former member of the Paris Bar. Mr. Manuelides is a member of the Advisory Council of the Centre of Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London, a trustee of the Hellenic Foundation, a trustee of Athens College, a Gennadius Library Overseer, a board member of Elliniki Etaireia, a Council member of the Anglo-Hellenic League and a member of the Sovereign Debt working groups of the International Law Association, the Institute of International Finance and the Financial Markets Law Committee. Apostolos Gkoutzinis Apostolos Gkoutzinis is a market-leading international capital markets and finance lawyer and a partner in Milbank's European Leveraged Finance and Capital Markets group in London. Ranked as a top tier practitioner by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 UK, he is one of the most widely respected advisers in his field globally. Mr. Gkoutzinis focuses on US securities laws and international debt and equity offerings as he covers an exceptionally broad practice across international corporate, capital markets and finance transactions. He holds a LLM from Harvard Law School, a PhD from University of London and an LLB from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Marialeta Moumtzoglou Marialeta Moumtzoglou is currently lead attorney in the Bank of America International Asset Finance team where she works on large asset financing deals, primarily in the areas of shipping, rail and equipment financing as well as on various bank enterprise projects (e.g., sanctions and LIBOR transition). Prior to that, she was an Associate at Allen & Overy for 7 years, where she worked on Project Finance deals, but also on other Greek projects, including the Greek debt restructuring. Mrs. Moumtzoglou holds an LLM in Corporate Law from the LSE, a Masters from Université Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne and a Maîtrise from Université Paris II - Panthéon Assas. Odysseas Theofanis Odysseas Theofanis is an Associate in the Corporate Department of the London office of Latham & Watkins, and a member of the Capital Markets Practice. Mr. Theofanis advises investment banks, corporate clients, and private equity sponsors on a wide array of international financing transactions, with a particular focus on European high yield bond offerings, cross-border leveraged financings, and restructurings, including liability management exercises. Prior to joining L&W, Mr. Theofanis practiced law in the London office of Allen & Overy and at Bernitsas Law, a leading Greek law firm. Mr. Theofanis holds an LLM from University of Chicago Law School, a dual LL.M from University of Rotterdam & University of Hamburg and an LLB from Athens Law School.
